For the second weekend in a row I have my brother in law and a friend to help me sort out my backyard. There's been so much to do and it gets depressing sometimes doing it all on your own, especially when there's a lot of heavy work to do. It takes ages when you have to do it alone.
Here's Markus shifting the enormous pile of dirt that I had banked up along the fence. Jani & I moved a couple of tons of earth and weeds when we prepared the first part of the backyard for turf laying and it had to go somewhere.
And the dirt is gone! Yays!!!! Finally I get my driveway back!
Another view of my now clean driveway. The dirt pile stretched from the fence in the foreground to the garage believe it or not.
We just finished the earth moving and it started to rain so we went inside the garage & fooled about building shelves and putting in tool hooks. When it stopped we started outside again. I mowed the lawn finally! Doesn't it look good? Not long ago that was bare earth:)
Markus kept weeding all the way along the neighbours fenceline. You can see his work behind the table there.
More weeding work! I know it doesn't really look like much but it has been bugging me for weeks, so to finally see it cleared out gives me a huge buzz:)
Markus finishing off down the side of the house.
The skip bin on the road - absolutely packed!
That's 5 cubic metres of soil, weeds, tree branches, builders rubble and old pallets loaded. A big day and a good one:)
