It's been a while

Well it's been a while since I put anything up. Work has been manic with endless trips and meetings and long hours. My garden has suffered and so has my gym work! But happy to say that it's still mostly ok:) Here's a few pics:)
Not technically in the garden but still a healthy plant. This chilli sits on Jani's desk near the kitchen:)
These chilli's however are in the planter box outside and doing well. Still no idea what kind they are but obviously both different.
We moved the chamomile to give the herb snail a bit more space since it's such a grower. It went all brown and we thought it might die, but some water and a bit of pruning and it has come back gangbusters:)
Our chard is coming along nicely.
Pretty soon these sunflowers will be brilliant!
For a long time I didn't think these lettuce would grow at all but how again I had it all wrong :D
Without a doubt the star of the herb garden. The basil rules the roost.
Carrots! Can't wait to pull these beauties up.
Just look at that green grass. I'll mow it this weekend. All the brown patches have gone and it's luch and thick and green. A far cry from the mess of bindi's and dandelions we had when we started.
A big storm came through a couple of weeks ago and completely stripped my fig tree of leaves and most of it's figs. You can see a few hardy survivors clinging there still but the poor thing looks rather decrepit.

That's it for now. The garden is doing ok - although it misses Jani's touch. I am a good builder and improver - but she has the attention to detail to really look after the plants. The garden and I both can't wait to have her back:)
